Focusing on Positive Steps we are able to update on the following…

 Victor & Ellen

Victor (below) attended Nkhoma Hospital for re-assessment. Positive Steps has had contact with Victor since he was three weeks old. He continues to do well and it was fantastic to see him walk up and down the Burns Ward.Victor June 14

The next day, the ABR Team performed some further corrective surgery in order to improve his walking. Positive Steps will continue to monitor his progress and remains committed to ensuring he receives the best care possible in Malawi, including use of the ambulance funded by us, which runs monthly with visits to Lilongwe city; principally to the 500 Miles prosthetic and Orthotic charity, which is based there.

Sadly we were unable to see Ellen this time. Her grandmother has very recently passed away and it was difficult for Ellen’s family to travel to the hospital. However we were pleased to hear that she continues to do well in school, running and playing with the other children. Again, Positive Steps continues to support Ellen in the same way that we do Victor.
