During our visit I was able to see how much the hospital has improved since my last visit, and it is reassuring to know that it is in such good hands and that donations to Positive Steps are used wisely and targeted to those most in need of our assistance. We thought it would be good to put faces to the names of the team in Malawi, that manage the Positive Steps budget. These are …
Reynier Ter Harr (below) – Medical Director and Chairman of the Training Committee.
David Moreton (below) – Assistant Medical Director, who makes referrals to us and oversees the Positive Steps in-country account.
Agnes Nyanda (below) – Hospital Accountant, who receives the money from Rosy and manages the Positive Steps ‘In Country Account’.
Catherine Msosa (below) – Sister for Medical wards, and lead on diabetes (which is something we support more in the future).
Ian Dawe (below) – Physiotherapy Technician at Nkhoma Hospital Dawe manages Positive Steps referrals to 500 Miles and provides out-reach, also assessing people with Cerebral Palsy for specialist chairs.
These are the people who we deal with on a regular basis to ensure that the money raised by Positive Steps is put to the best possible use … but, they are just a few of the amazing people doing a fantastic job in and around Nkhoma Hospital.
